Please join the faithful of the Archdiocese of San Antonio on the Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of our Lord, as we process at two locations this year as we near the conclusion of the YEAR OF THE PRIEST.

Let us give witness to our faith that He is truly present, par excellence, in the Most Blessed Sacrament. You are welcome to join in at Padua Place Retired Priest Chapel and Our Lady of the Atonement Catholic Church.  (*)

If your child has made their First Holy Communion this year, they are welcome to wear their First Communion Clothes. Parking available and you can consult the local bus schedule.

Holy Mass followed by Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Eucharistic Procession, concluding with Benediction.

>> On display during all Sunday Holy Mass opportunities (7:30am,9am,11am, and 6pm Latin) in the Sacred Heart Adoration Chapel at Our Lady of the Atonement, will be the Vatican Exhibition of Church Approved Eucharistic Miracles (Small Display – 5 panels) for all to prayerfully enjoy.

Bishop Oscar Cantú named Apostolic Administrator for Archdiocese of San Antonio.
Pope Benedict XVI, through the Vatican’s Congregation of Bishops, has named Auxiliary Bishop Oscar Cantú Apostolic Administrator for the Archdiocese of San Antonio. The appointment is effective today as Archbishop José Gomez vacates his seat as Archbishop of San Antonio and assumes his position as coadjutor archbishop of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, CA. The announcement was made by Apostolic Nuncio, Pietro Sambi, the Vatican’s ambassador and its liaison to the Catholic Church in the United States. (Read the entire article at http://www.archsa.org )

    In San Antonio, TX we have 10 men ordained to the ministerial priesthood this year (and counting).  The celebration of the Solemnity of Corpus Christi this year includes the eldest priest and newly ordained priest:

     — Padua Place where 92 years young priest, Most Rev. Bernard F. Popp; Born December 6, 1917
    Ordained to the Priesthood: Feb 24, 1943, resides. 

    — Our Lady of the Atonement where newly ordained Fr. Jeffrey Moore was ordained to the Sacred Priesthood on March 20, 2010 is assigned as Parochial Vicar.
